Well if you have Firefox account then the bookmarks might be logged into that, so try to get the latest firefox 57.0 with you platform and language pack. Then login to your account and see if you get all your bookmarks back.

Hello, your bookmarks should you have performed a Firefox refresh, will be in your old profile on the desktop called Old Firefox Data -- to restore this, goto about:profiles >> click on the button that says Open Folder, on the current profile -- then open up the Old Firefox Data folder, and copy and paste all the information in there, into the new profile folder and restart Firefox.

yesterday i did a refresh on W'10 v1703 had to reload Firefox and today when i fired up the laptop and Firefox no bookmarks at all...last 3 years of bookmarks gone??

Today Firefox asked me to log in, don't remember ever doing that before, not sure if Firefox created new profile today and old B'marks exist in old profile...?

any insight please ??

When you did the Windows 10 refresh, you wiped out your Firefox profile and bookmarks. Unless you're signed up for Firefox Sync, or have a backup of your data, your bookmarks are gone.

not sure what is meant by signed up for Firefox sync...is that a payed service or something ...i was able to see my mail on other devices... additionally ....

Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer

Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks and saves the last 15 backups for safekeeping.

Firefox Sync is free. Go to Options, Firefox Account, sign up and tell it what to save in the cloud. That way, anytime you need to reinstall you just log in with your credentials and everything returns as it was.

I think you wiped out your profile (including any bookmark backups) when you did the Win10 refresh, but try this: Type Ctrl+Shift+B, go to Import and Backup, Restore. If backups exist, they will show in the list.
