Why no warning BEFORE installing an upgrade that some add-ons will no longer work?

I innocently installed Quantum then found that NoScript had disappeared, with a new compatible version promised for "later this week". I would have delayed upgrading if there had been a warning. I no longer had the installation file to re-install the old version, but fortunately I did still have the old version on another computer, which I am using for the time being.

Support Volunteers do not know the workings of...... It was in articles about a week before, people that came here were warned at least by me. If you had gone into your Extension page for the last 8mos or so old ones or not updated were marked as Legacy in Yellow box and black letters and info.

Hi  !

I don't think that Mozilla should have warned users that NoScript wouldn't be ready yet, but the extension's developer should have warned users ......

All fair comment. What really got my goat was that, when I had temporarily switched to a second computer that still had Firefox 56 with NoScript working, Firefox on that computer then updated itself to 57 without even asking me. I should have known, from past occasions, that add-ons often need to be updated, but it should always be possible to defer installing the latest version of Firefox until whichever add-ons one needs have been updated, expecially any such as NoScript that are relevant to security.
