I could watch itv (ITV.com) but since this week not anymore. Strange is that the ads are shown but the tv-shows not. Error message that something has gone wrong and the advice to reload. In Safari I can watch the same page with no problem. I am using ff 56 on an apple macbook high sierra and cleaned the cache, cookies en disabled extensions one by one without result.

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Ghostery, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.

  • make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version

You can look at uBlock Origin as a replacement for Adblock Plus to see if that works better.

Thanx, saw this answer before but it does not work. I removed Adblock and replaced it but it does not work. I think the problem is version 56 because the browser Vivaldi has the same problem. Both browser have something in common but I am not an expert. Has something to do with flash, silverlight and so on. Safari is different from that and does not have the problem which ff en vivaldi do have.
