Firefox deleted ALL of my addons, bookmarks, history and everything important I was working on. What causes this?
Yesterday everything was working fine. Shut down my PC and did some maintenance on my PC. Upon restart Firefox asked me to import settings and had basically deleted EVERYTHING I had and was working on. This is absolutely TERRIBLE and Im about to swear off using it anymore and telling my friends and family who use it to not even bother and save what they can now before it happens to them. What could possibly cause this out of nowhere and at random like this? An update? Bug? I have a Firefox Old folder on my desktop but its dated last November. This is just nuts. I thought Chrome was bad....
As shown in the pic I uploaded it says last sync was today. Ive NEVER even used the sync function so I dont know what the deal is...

What exactly were you doing? If you removed/corrupted the wrong file . . . . . . .
Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox?
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recovering-important-data-from-an-old-profile
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
Type about:profiles<enter> in the address bar. How many profiles are listed? How many should be there?
Firefox uses two locations for the Firefox profile folder, so make sure to look in the correct location. Location used for the main profile in "AppData\Roaming" that keeps your personal data.
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
Location used for the disk cache and other temporary files in "AppData\Local".
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
Do you still have any profile folders in the profile location in AppData\Roaming?
It is also possible that the profiles.ini is missing or is an older version if you performed a system restore.
I did absolutely nothing. As stated I shut my PC down to clean filters, replace a couple fans and clean out dust, restarted and upon opening FS everything was gone.
