I have a new MacBook Pro. Whenever the computer goes into sleep mode Firefox crashes. Both FireFox and Apple OS have been updated to the most current version.

hi, have you already updated to os x 10.12.3 that was released just a few hours ago? we are hoping this contains a fix for these kind of crashes...
