sync only puts tabs in a sidebar and only part of them

I am setting up my newer pc and this is one thing that is holding me up. I used sync for all of my bookmarks, but it is only taking a portion of my tabs from the older pc and it just puts them in a sidebar where I guess I can open from there. But I want them back where they were along with my other open tabs on the top row. I hope I don't have to redo this all as I am trying to get this going and I am already going with at least the bookmarks being taken care of. If I need to check into one of the tabs I have to start the other pc to look it up. How do I get this to duplicate my newer pc? Thanks.

Sounds like an add-on to move tabs fron the top to the side.

Are you using Test Pilot - "Tab Center"? https://testpilot.firefox.com/ If so, you can disable it via that page when you're logged in to your Firefox Account.

That's an experiment that Mozilla is currently running to allow users to test proposed features.

Thanks for the try, sounds like something that could be related or it, but I am on ffox and when I try that page it is asking if I want to add that add on, sounds like it is not on lready. I checked my add ons and there are only a couple there. I had hit conflicts/problems there years ago so I keep only what I really need. I guess I could go through if I have to and click each tab to put them back in the open tabs bar, but it not importing all of them is the main problem. I think I can send them to a url file, so I may do that, I think most of them likely need to end up somewhere like that anyway. I had thought that there was a limit to how many open tabs ffox would keep, but apparently it will keep tons of them. I tend to keep things I may want to go back to and I end up with a lot. I don't take enough time to archive all of the ones that could be archived so they pile up! Thanks for the help.

Yes, that page will say that if you aren't logged into your Firefox Account or when that extension isn't installed, yet.

How about giving us a screenshot of your install extensions, so we can see what you have?

Could you be referring to Bookmarks when you say "tabs"?

Bookmarks can be displayed in the Bookmarks Sidebar, with thru the View > Sidebar menu or by using {Ctrl + B} from the keyboard.
