Win 7. Dedicated graphics. 6 GB Ram. All drivers updated. Firefox was reinstalled with no improvement. No other browsers have this problem on my machine. Just Firefox. It also won't play Netflix.

It used to just to just do this with some pages. Now it's doing it with almost every news or magazine site.

Apparently thousands of other users are having the same problem but Firefox keeps suggesting it's something on the user's end. No, there's a problem with the browser.

I understand that Firefox is freezing when watching netflix. Please first make sure that Silverlight is up to date. Please update your plugins to the latest version. Check to make sure you are up to date:

I updated VLC player so we'll see if that has anything to do with it. That was the only plug-in needing an update.

I already had the latest Silverlight installed, and just installed the updated Firefox too. Restarted browser and computer. The Netflix problem persists. But Netflix hasn't been good on Firefox for a while. I started using Chrome. Now it also recently stopped working on Chrome. I can now only view Netflix on IE - a browser I never use.

Thank you for your reply.

So, it wasn't the VLC player, and I have nothing else to update. The script problem continues. I hate Chrome but will have to use it as a default browser because Firefox is becoming less and less functional.
