it take forever for a command to go through, seems like it has to refresh the whole page then sits there for about 4 seconds before it will accept new commands :(

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode.
