www.lotro.com has up to date certificates and others can get to the sites and I can get to the sites in Chrome, Edge and IE, but not Firefox. I used to be able to get to the site in a few releases ago, but not anymore.

I have asked Turbine which owns the sites and they tell me all the certificates are current and no on else has reported any problems with any browser.

I do not use Avast, I use Norton, so all those fixes for Avast are mute.

Is there a work-around to see their sites? Is there an exception page in Firefox settings or whatever, where i can add the domain to avoid the checking of certificates?

Or am I resigned to having to use Chrome or Edge just to see those sites?

Are you seeing a message like the following?

The owner of signup.lotro.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox Developer Edition has not connected to this website.

If that is the case, this might be an issue with the site using SHA-1 certificates, although this should be fixed in the latest version that you seem to be using.

To make sure that this isn't a result of incorrect settings, we need some more non-personal information from you. Please do the following:

  1. Use ONE of these methods to open the Firefox Troubleshooting Information page:
    • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click on help Help-29 and select Troubleshooting Information.
    • Type about:support into the Firefox address bar and press the enter key.
  2. At the top of the Troubleshooting Information page that comes up, you should see a button that says "Copy text to clipboard". Click it.
  3. Now, go back to your forum post, right-click in the reply box and select Paste from the context menu (or else click inside the reply box and press the Ctrl+V keys) to paste all the information you copied into the forum post.
