Why do you keep blocking Kaspersky Password Manager?

more options

It seems that with every version you release, you disable Kaspersky Password Manager. I haven't updated to the online version because I don't trust anything online. All KPM does is fill in the name and PW for websites. I can't see how any normal upgrade to your product, can suddenly block a PW manager from working, so I have to assume that you want people to use yours instead. The problem is I use KPW manager for more than browsing and I really don't want to have to use 2 PW programs to do the job of 1. Kaspersky always "fixes" the "problem" and all you are doing is messing with people.

Please see this article for more information on why some extensions were disabled in Firefox 43: Add-on signing in Firefox.

Kaspersky is in the process of getting its extensions signed/verified by the Mozilla Add-ons team so they will work in Firefox 43 and later. Look for the forthcoming "Patch D".

Meanwhile, the only way to enable them is to make a temporary exception to the signing requirement until they get updated. This is global for all extensions, there's currently no way to make an exception only for Kaspersky extensions.

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste xpin and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the xpinstall.signatures.required preference to switch it from true to false -- note that this is for Firefox 43 only
