If I have akamaihd.net enabled I get text pop-ups on yahoo that should not be appearing and do not appear on other web browsers.
If I disable this through noscript I can not use Firefox... I multiple antivirus/adware products that have cleaned my computer and chatted online with AVG and been told that it is not a virus but a problem with Firefox.

What do the popups look like? If disabling akamaihd.net helps, you can do that. It won't hurt.
