I am prevented by a blocker from getting a web connection
I have AVG but when I try to connect to the internet iit appears to try but will not connect I had the same problem six months ago and a program named bitblocker was removed by my local cmputer shop IThis problem is on my other computer not this one

My computer has two hard discs C with Win 7 on. D with Win 8 on. D:. connects to the web with no problems ( proves router is ok ) C: will not connect to the web with any browser.

OK, your hardware is good - router and modem - seeing that one operating system and its' programs aren't affected.
Connection issue within Win7 ?? Firewall ?? Anti-virus applications ?? DNS server issues ??
