Can't print with Firefox (using Windows 7 Professional)

I have been using Firefox for years, and since a couple of weeks it is not possible for me to print anymore. Each time I press "Print" or "Print Preview", a message stating "Print (Preview) not responding" appears, and I have to close the system and start Firefox again. But the system never allows me to print.

I uninstalled Firefox (33.0) and installed it again, but the problem persists.

Can someone be so kind to help me fix this problem? I appreciate in advance all your help. Thank you very much.
