Tab labels are grayed out except for active tab. This was not always the case. How to fix this?

I recently had the 29 upgrade forced on me. I did not like the new lay out. I was trying different things and I hit the restore defaults button. After I did this, any tabs that I had open that were not the active tab, the labels was grayed out. I want the labels to stay the same. How do I get this fixed?

You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to restore some functionality that was lost with the arrival of the Australis style in Firefox 29.

You can check the settings of the CTR extension via its Options/Preferences button on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" page.

Why do I have to install an extension to get back to the style I want to use? This is ridiculous.

Eddie, I completely agree with you. Apparently making inactive tabs invisible was intentional. There are many topics about this. I guess they will fix it some time in the future.

Until then the add-on mentioned above fixes invisble inactive tabs. It also fixes the refresh button.

In Classic Theme Restorer options change from "curved tabs Australis default" to curved tabs alternative". Also enable the checkbox "hide url bar reload button". Then you can move a normal size reload button to the left".
