Firefox lets you automatically fill in saved credit and debit card information on web forms, making online checkouts faster and more convenient. Your CVV number is never saved, and you can require a password or biometric authentication before using autofill for extra security.
Use the steps below to turn autofill on or off, edit saved cards, and set authentication preferences.

Turn payment methods autofill on or off
This feature is recommended for private computers only.
- In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click and select (or , in some cases).Click the menu button
and select .
- Click the panel.
- Scroll down to the AutofillPayment methods section.
- Check Save and fill payment methodsSave and autofill payment info to enable autofill.
- Uncheck the box to turn it off.

- Click on the left.
- Scroll down to the Payment methods section.
- Check Save and autofill payment info to enable autofill.
- Uncheck the box to turn it off.
Require authentication for autofill
To protect your saved payment methods, Firefox allows you to require operating system-level authentication (such as a password, fingerprint or face recognition) before filling in payment details.
- In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click and select (or , in some cases).Click the menu button and select .
- Click on the left.
- Scroll down to the AutofillPayment methods section.
- Check Require device sign in to autofill and manage payment methods to turn it on, or uncheck the box to turn it off.
Note: This setting uses your computer’s password, fingerprint, face or voice login—not your Mozilla account password.
If you don't have an OS password
- Windows: If you aren't using a Windows password, you will not be prompted to enter it.
- macOS: If you don't have a password, click twice to continue. Note: This is a known issue and will be fixed in a future update.
Edit your saved payment methods
Use this setting to add, remove, or change saved credit or debit card data in Firefox.
- In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click and select (or , in some cases).Click the menu button and select .
- Click on the left.
- Scroll down to the AutofillPayment methods section.
- Click the button.
- Choose one of the following:
- Add…: Enter a new card using this button.
- Edit…: Select the card you want to change, then click to change it.
- Remove: Select the card you want to delete, then click .
- Click the to save your changes and close the window.
