您知道您在 Firefox 做的所有設定，像首頁、工具列、儲存的密碼與書籤等都是存放在一個特殊的設定檔資料夾嗎？這是真的。您的設定檔資料夾保持在一個不同於 Firefox 程式的獨立位置，如此一來，若 Firefox 發生錯誤時，您的相關設定資訊依舊存在。這也表示您可以反安裝 Firefox 而不遺失設定，而且您也不需重新安裝 Firefox 來清除您的資訊或排除問題。

我如何尋找設定檔？

  1. 在 Firefox 視窗的上面在選單列, 點選 說明 選單Firefox menu, go over to the 說明 選單 (在 Windows XP, 點選 說明 選單) 並選擇 疑難排解資訊. 疑難排解資訊頁籤將會開啟。
  2. Under the Application Basics section, click on Open Containing FolderShow in Finder. A window with your profile filesfolder will open.

Firefox 3.6

Finding your profile without opening Firefox

Windows Vista and 7

  1. 按下 Windows 開始 鈕並在開始功能表底部的搜尋方塊中輸入 %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ ，不按 Enter. 設定檔清單將出現於開始功能表上方。

  2. Click the View menu and select Show Hidden Files if it isn't already checked.
  3. Double click the folder marked .mozilla.
  4. Double click the folder marked firefox. Your profile folder is within this folder.

  • Site-specific preferences: The permissions.sqlite file stores many of your Firefox permissions that are set on a site-by-site basis. For example, it stores which sites are allowed to display popups.
