Upgraded to OS1.1, no longer have data capabilities ZTE OPEN
Hi,
I seem to have lost my mobile data (3g, 2g, Edge) since upgrading to OS 1.1, I am in UK and I assume that in the topbar of the screen (next to my cell signal and the time, I should have either a 2g or an E or H there, I have none, however when I open the notification by swiping down, I do see a 2g or H or whatever there, highlighted in blue?? I have checked my data provider settings and these are correct. Is this a known issue or is it just me!!??

Yep, this seems to be working, I did have to do the 'Aeroplane' trick again halfway through yesterday, but it still seems to be working fine. So, I suggest, if anyone else has this issue, check and uncheck 'Aeroplane Mode', it may work for you too.
Cheers.

Hi BobbyOrange,
Thanks for using Firefox OS. I have seen the case where the notification tray at the bottom will appear with an indicator that is incorrect. I would go into the Settings > Wifi and toggle it off, then go to Settings > Cellular & Data and toggle the data connection on.
Best regards, Michelle Luna
Hi,
I've tried this and it's not made any difference. I tried at a location where I know there is a full 3g service, the icon on the notification bar does show a blue 'H', but I still cannot connect to the internet. Any ideas please!! Should I downgrade back to v1.0 as this problem was not on that version????
1.2 will be out end of April.
Hello,
Does the mobile service work for a while and then doesn't work after a prolong period of using the phone? Or does it not completely work? Have you tried rebooting the device?
- Hold down the power button
- Select Reboot
Please let me know!
Thanks!
Hi Andrew,
It just completely stopped working since I installed v1.1, really want to get this sorted as I much prefer FFOS to Android, it is, (on the whole/bugs apart) a lot more responsive than Android.
Thanks,
Rob.
Hi All,
Was just playing about with my phone, trying to get my PC to recognise it so I can update to V1.2 and turned on Aeroplane mode. forgot about it whilst reading the cricket on the BBC (Faf Du Plessis to miss the England game), I then went back to my phone and switched off Aeroplane mode and lo and behold, data service is back!! Not complaining, but is there a particular reason why data service should magically come back on after doing this? Not going to mark this as solved yet, as I want to give it a few hours 'test'!! Cheers for your help so far though!!
