Firefox is opening blank pages and connecting indefinitely when I open google pages for youtube and reddit
Firefox is opening blank pages and is connecting indefinitely at the top when I open google pages for youtube and reddit and possibly other sites. I would then have to refresh manually for the page to load instead of it loading like it should. I tried on internet explorer and it worked fine so I know this is exclusive to firefox as an issue.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:
- Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
- Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
- Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
- From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
- Now click the Clear now button.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
I'll use all those programs and then do the second thing you said
I think it's hardware acceleration. used all programs and it didn't help
Ignore my last reply. I did what you said and it worked in safe mode, what does this mean?
