I have a couple of nagging problems; first the screen shifts to the right, freezing out any possibe interaction, & I often get pop-up windows on mouse clicks.
In Firefox, during most sessions the screen will shift once, then usually twice slightly to the right, suspending any activity on the screen. I have to wait for the problem to correct itself - usually within a few seconds - before I can continue. No action on my part has any affect on the issue.
the other problem that is really nagging is that as I click on screen I very often get one of two pop-up screens; one is asking me for: Back, Forward, Reload, Open Link In New Tab, or Open Link in New Private Window. The other Is Bookmark This Link,, Save Link As..., Copy Link Locations, View WOT Scorecard, Download Page Links, Download Page Image. It gets very annoying; I often have to just mouse-click around on blank portions of the screen - still getting the pop-ups - until they disappear, and then I can go back to normal browsing.

Sounds that you are seeing the right-click context menu.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem
