Are there certain add-on's or plug-in's or something I'm missing?
None of the videos, video advertisements, or advertisements altogether are showing. I'm not so fond of advertisements anyway but there's always a blank, empty space in their place. What am I missing? I just installed Firefox earlier today if that helps. Thanks!

You should install Adobe Flash for Firefox.
Shockwave for Director is a different program and IE uses a different version of Adobe Flash than other browsers use.
