tools options shows JavaScript enabled, but website claim the opposite, how to deal with this discrepancy?

I can't access websites that require JavaScript. I've followed instructions to do so on Tools in the browser. It shows that Javascript is enabled, each time I check.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
