First, it is infuriating that when I go to the "ask the community" page, the text of the question I already input is not automatically entered into the SUBJECT box. I ask well written, complicated questions, and remembering EXACTLY what I said doesn't happen. And when I go BACK, the field is empty. At least print a warning for users to COPY their question so they can PASTE it, instead of having to re-formulate the words.

Second, the only way I got to the ""ask the community" page at all is by luckily finding it labeled in my bookmarks as the "actually ask a question" page: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions Every time I start with the main mozilla.org page, it is IMPOSSIBLE to get to that page !!!

USING: V60.9.1 POP accounts

For many years all I had to do in Thunderbird was enter my various POP account passwords ONCE, upon starting the App. After the last restart, I have to enter them EVERY TIME I Send or Download. What caused this sudden change?

Never have used Master Password - but the FAQ for that does not say anything about that function auto-filling passwords every time I invoke Send or Download. I don't think it has anything to do with it.

There is a similar question from someone using LINUX, and I wonder if the new screwed up behavior has to do with creating a new POP or IMAP email account in TBird to work with things like Yahoo Mail which set an "Oauth" authentication:

Note that the Oauth account DOES NOT ASK ME FOR THE PASSWORD EVERY TIME. Not sure if it would ask once upon restarting TBird. Only the old POP accounts are now screwed up.

It seems that TBird screws up remembering passwords when an Oauth type account is created ? But why does it only screw up the POP accounts? What is the fix for this, its really annoying -- The LINUX thread indicates TBird no longer downloads automatically at the set periodic interval.
