When I turned on two-factor authentication, I was presented with some recovery codes which I downloaded to a secure folder. Later, I tried to use one code. The codes downloaded as lower-case letters but the form for using them converted every letter to uppercase and the codes I had just downloaded were rejected.

Are you trying to disable 2 factor? Do you still have any devices logged in under the 2 factor authentication? You could remove 2 factor from any currently logged in devices by following the instructions here:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/what-if-im-locked-out-two-step-authentication

Let me know if that helps at all.

Note that there are recovery keys that you can use instead of the 6-digit 2FA codes and there is also a recovery key that you can use instead of the password of the Sync account in case you have forgotten the password of the Firefox Account.

Perhaps I did not explain clearly.

I received a set of recovery keys at the same time as I turned on 2FA.

I tried to use one of those recovery keys and it was rejected as invalid.

The only strange thing I noticed was that the recovery keys were given having lower-case letters in them but the form requesting the recovery key forced all of the letters to be upper-case.

In any event, the recovery key was rejected as invalid.

One way or another the recovery key process isn't working.

Where do I find/get a recovery key to use instead of the password of the Sync account. That was what I was doing but I managed to remember it.
