I have had aol since 1995 and do not like new unprivacy policy - what can I switch to - even if I have to pa someone instead of having the free account I have had for years. Will I be able to switch the emails and pics I have saved? I do not have (or care to use) any social media sites.

As for another provider. Look at GMX. GMX is a service provided by 1&1 Mail & Media GmbH A German company covered by German and EU law regarding privacy. Germany redefines the word privacy is you are a US resident. Facebook for instance has been in trouble with them for breaching their privacy laws.
