Saved Passwords not showing in my new installation
I recently formatted my computer completely and installed a fresh version of widows. Prior to the format I have synced my firefox as I wanted to retain all of my saved logins.
Now that I have installed firefox and synced my account, none of my old information is available in the new installation.
I was using a master password on the old installation.
Please help me get back my old passwords.

Sorry but If they were not successfully synced and you have no backup you have lost them.
For very good security reasons Firefox Sync is unable to sync passwords if a master password is in use.
if you have a backup image of the original hdd, or even a backup of the Firefox profile you may be able to recover them.

I wish I knew before doing the re installation as I would have removed the master password and put it back after the installation.
I will now try and recover from the old backup if I have it.

Update: I have been advised that Sync is now capable of saving logins when a master password is used. I do not recall that but it is possible that our Knowledgebase article also was not updated.
I am not sure that information affects you. if you did not try to Sync logins, but may still have some backup of the Firefox profile.
