i am using a proxy secured connection,so i selected manual proxy configurations for all browsers ,other browsers are working except firefox...please solve....

Are you using a remote proxy or a local proxy? Did you check the port number in the setup to make sure it is the correct port? Are you saying that the proxy works with all other laptops or no other laptops?
What setting do you use in Firefox (auto-detect or use System proxy or a manual proxy setting)?
You can check the connection settings.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network : Connection > Settings
