When I click on a link, firefox drops to taskbar and sits for 5 - 15 seconds , before I can access it again.
Usually, when I first start up Firefox and clink on a link, it will minimize to the task bar and it freezes there for 5 to 15 or more seconds. I've tried to end Firefox by going to Task Manager, but clicking on Firefox and telling it to end the program does not work until i can restore the Firefox window. It only seems to happen when I click on the first link of the day. After that it does not happen again until my pc is started the next day. I can't figure what is causing this. I am running Coolpreviews 4.2. could this be causing the problem?

Hi silvereagle98201, Is Coolpreviews a third party software, an addon? If its an add on, what happens when you restart without addons? This can be done by clicking on "3 bar" menu > "question mark" > "Restart without add ons..." If it happens without add ons it can be inferred it may not be the add on causing it.
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions and some Preferences.
- Open websites will not be saved in Firefox versions lower than 25.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
For Firefox 29.0 and above:
- Click the menu button
, click help
and select Troubleshooting Information. Now, a new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
- At the top right corner of the page, you should see a button that says "Reset Firefox"
. Click on it.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
