Hi - I initially googled this issue and found that it's already been raised several times on these forums and received a response along the lines of "This is a feature, not a bug" and marked as solved - but respectfully, it's a downright awful feature, and I believe it ought to be resolved.

Trying to search for specific items in browser history on Android is functionally useless. Rather than displaying a complete list of all webpages that match the search term in reverse chronological order, like it does when searching History on Desktop, it shows a seeming random selection of "suggestions" plucked from your history across all of time.

E.g.: When searching "https://support.mozilla.org", it doesn't show literally any of the dozens of pages I've been looking at on these forums for the past half hour, but instead six different suggested iterations of the same info page I last visited years ago.

There have been countless times now where I, for example, will try to search for this very thread next week, too far to manually scroll back through all my history, and be unable to find it because all that comes up are irrelevant "suggestions." Instead, I have to open up my laptop and search for the page in the browser history there, *then* (if it's, say, a recipe I wanted to have on my phone while I cook) send it *back* to my phone!

It's incredibly frustrating and is really making me want to uninstall the Firefox app and go back to Chrome.

I want to add Firefox as a search engine. But there's not a search engine on your settings. You use Google Bing DuckDuckGo. Why don't you have a search engine that says Firefox? That's my question.

My current version of Firefox is 151.0.4 (64-bit) & for the past 2 weeks or so every time I use the search bar to google something it triggers one of those "We've detected unusual activity from your network" requiring a Captcha. At first I tried all of the typical stuff [antivirus, vpn, extensions, etc...] to make sure that wasn't the issue. But as of yesterday & confirmed today I can actually go to Google's website first & do the search from there with no issue & no captcha.

So, whatever the issue is has to do specifically with doing the search via the search bar... for some reason. Is this a bug in the browser, or is there perhaps some setting that could cause this to happen in the about:config page? Though, I doubt a setting could be it because I've changed the settings I've changed now for years without causing this issue.

I did a search and when it didn't return results in the current folder I hit enter/return again and it searches everywhere. The results from this extended search produces clips from the numerous emails it found. If I then click on "show results as a list" it has always in the past condensed the results to a list. However, this time it no longer has the search text in the filter line and says "no message found"

Suddenly Start Page has become my default browser when I open Firefox. Duck Duck Go has always been my default browser. I did not download Start Page. I don't want Start Page. My PC Win 11 is set to use Duck Duck go as the default browser. Why is this happening?

Is it possible to select the DuckDuckGo No-AI: search as a Default Search Engine on the Mozilla browser? I have tried and cannot seem to designate this No-AI option as a default. Thank you in advance. The URL is https://noai.duckduckgo.com/

Hello. I have several saved search folders in Thunderbird. These are all tax related. The searches are run against my local archived emails and are mostly searches against specific received dates (my tax year). I have found several of the searches are duplicating the results of the search. When I check the folders I am searching within, there are no duplicate emails. I was wondering if anybody else has run in to this problem. Deleting the searches and starting over does not fix the problem.

Hi, It's now impossible to add lilo.org search engine in firefox mobile for my new android device (android 16, firefox 155.0.1). Now when I try to add it (please check screenshot), I have an error message : "Check that search string matches Example format" The query string is https://search.lilo.org/?q=%s and on my previous android device (Android 13, firefox mobile 155.0.1) I still have it setup as the default search engine, and I just tried to add it again on this device and I don't have this blocking error message. Suddenly all my searches in Firefox go to Gradilsk - this is stopped by my Bitdefender which states it is unsafe. If I override and go with it I have a huge number of spam attacks listed. Is Gradilsk the search engine of Firefox and if not how do I get rid of it?

I have been using Thunderbird for a while.. I could always filter messages easily to help with mailbox cleanup, now it seems to have stopped working or a setting has automatically changed.. When activating Quick Filter, I could type in the 'Filter Messages' box and it would start listing the mails in that inbox as I typed, now it doesn't happen anymore..

How to force Firefox to display current search results. The internet has become like local FM radio. You can never find or hear what you want. When I search for latest news I don't want to read about Jimmy Carter or Barack Obama. Is there a setting to only show the latest results?
