I have installed web apps to firefox on my phone by using menu -> Add to Home Screen Now that they are installed, though, I cannot get rid of them. Even if I delete the icons from my home screen, they show up in the menu when I long tap on the firefox app icon and still act as apps there. I have looked for a way to remove them and have not found one. Is there no other option than wiping firefox's data?

Firefox remains my go-to browser. However, on my android phone, I can't sign in to my Gmail account. (I prefer yje gmail format in the browser vs the gmail app preinstalled). Google sigbs me in correctly in Firefox, asks for confurmation that it is really me, (My email addr & password are saved and correct,) asks me to pull down their notice in notifications and enter the sent number. This used to work, then became intermittent, and now never shows on notifications, so I can't finish logging in. Notifications are on s d I get them for other apps. Identity verification works fine on Firefox in Windows. I can't get answers so far from android (a Google product no less). Almost as though they are forcing me to use their app to access my email. Sorry to ask you for help on a tangential Firefox question. Thanks in advance for any answer or direction

Once upon a time Mozilla Firefox was a great little browser..No clanging bells and whistle and sirens that pestered one about all the great wonderful features, each one a must have. Page after page of 'look at all the meat things we added." And maybe, justcmaybe, we could get around to what we wanted to do and look up the next showtime. A simple Blue smiley button that also said "New!" somewhere up top, perhaps a little bigger than the others and blinking/winking😎every now oand then would do. When did Mozilla decide it was all about Mozilla, and not about the customer, and tell us so every update. You know, like Micro squash does?😒 ry now🙃

I was able to sign in to my account for Firefox and I got my bookmarks back; the odd thing is Mozilla tries to put a bunch of them on the home page, and I can't get rid of them. Also in the edition of Firefox I downloaded, the default search engine that they set up is Google. Unbelievable. So I changed that to Firefox as the default search engine. There some "sponsored" bookmarks on the home page I can't get rid of. And I cannot figure out hosw to get my Collections back on the main page. I loved that Collections feature on the home page.

This was the only browser I could meaningfully use without the encroaching enshittification of the Internet affecting it. I guess I need to find another now.
