download windows appears in Firefox browser with barcode-scanner input.
When in some text field, I input with barcode-scanner, A download windows appears in Firefox browser. Although a barcode-scanner act like a keyboard input device, it must not show download window. I blocked download option in firefox browser (Tools->Options->General Tab-> Unchecked download options) nothing happens, even I disable java-script. Till download windows appears in Firefox browser with barcode-scanner input.
IE(any version) not showing this. What can I do? Can anyone help me. I am developing an ERP system which is browser dependent and I love Firefox!!

Did you re-start Mozilla after un-checking the Show Downloads window when downloading a file? Could you provide your picture of General Tab in the Mozilla Tools -> Options?

Do you need to press any keys to initiate such a barcode insert or does that happen automatically if you scan some barcode?

Downloads windows apears automatically when I scan any barcode. It is happening although all the options is switched off.
My Barcode scanner is very simple, just focus on a barcode' it scan and delever text ouput in any applications like a key board.
Can you add a specific content type for that file to make Firefox recognize it as such?
What is the current content type of that file?
If Firefox gives a download dialog then that suggests that Firefox doesn't recognize that file.
