Why do new tabs now go to a bing search instead of to my home page(about:home)?

This behavior just began today. Recent changes are pushed update to Firefox 7.0.1 and new install of PDF Lite software. The PDF Lite software added a Firefox toolbar that I disabled. I suspect it made this other change to my new tabs but I don't know how to fix that. I am running a Windows 7 machine.

I figured it out on my own. Even though I disabled the PDF Lite Toolbar, I had to remove it to get rid of the problem. Afterwards the new tab would open blank. To get new tabs to open to my home page I installed the NewTabURL and configured it for that (this add-on also provides the option to direct new tabs to the URL of your choosing). The add-on is here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/newtaburl/ I also located another thread from a year ago that addressed the exact same problem (searched on PDF Lite).
