When I try to view a .webm video in Firefox Mobile, it stutters like crazy, even on wifi with the entire video buffered. What's worse, the audio and video play back at different rates, and the audio won't stop playing unless I quit the browser using the "quit fennec" extension. If the ROM or hardware matters, it's a Motorola Atrix 4G running Gingerbread (build version 4.591)

Sorry about that. We know that HTML5 video is far too slow in mobile Firefox, and we're working on it. (It should get better once we implement OpenGL graphics acceleration.) See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=570335 for some technical details and links to related bugs.

Thanks. I guess I'll stick to WebKit browsers for video on Android for now.
