I am unable to complete a download process. the download pop up shows up, and it appears to be downloading but multiple tabs pop up and the item i am trying to download does not ultimately show up. my downloading using internet explorer works fine

The tab section keeps adding multiple tabs as I select one thing to be downloaded. it ends up looping and keeps appearing as if it is downloading multiple copies of the same thing and i have difficulty even getting to a point where it allows me to stop the download or close firefox

Thank you, the step where I went to tools, options and then selected a product for the application worked. It was a problem with .pdf files. I don't understand how all of a sudden it changed from what had worked all along, but, I changed it back from xps viewer to adobe and all is working fine. I appreciate your help!
