When veiwing videos on news channels (bbc) or on youtube. Most times the video window splits into two. A top window and bottom window divided by a thick green bar even in full screen.

Sometimes the sound is garbled (screeches). The problem does not exist in IE and has only been present since downloading Firefox. I like firefox, but would return to IE if this problem can't be fixed.

It's a feature of your graphics card that was accidentally switched on by the latest flash update. Disabling hardware acceleration is a dirty fix that works; updating your drivers will reportedly reset the switch and fix your problem, but I haven't tried it.

Thank you for your quick answer. I checked the microsoft hardware updates and they had a new driver update for my gfx card (released July 2010). After installation everything was fixed.

Your help is very much appreciated, thank you.

I updated the driver via the microsoft update site and lost all network connections. I reverted to the previous driver and POOF! all was well. Got the network back and no more split screen.
