I realize that the HTC Droid Eris was not on the list of supported hardware, but the phone is less than a year old. It has version 2.1 of the operating system. All I get when I start FireFox is a blank screen and then it goes back to the Home screen - no error message, no force close message - nothing. Anybody else have a problem like this?

Sorry, Firefox 4 beta 1 is not compatible with the processor in the Droid Eris. There are experimental (non-optimized) builds here that might work on this phone:
