I am a comm pilot. When I open firefox in a foreign country it is in the language of that country. How do I prevent this and keep the browser in english only.

I take it you man the default Firefox home page which is a branded version of the Google search page. You can change the home page to http://www.google.com/ncr which will never re-direct to another language. See how to set the home page for details.
