Is the same thing if I delete .msf files for a given folder or I click "repair folder"?
Is the same thing if I delete .msf files for a given folder or I click "repair folder" under folder properties (see screenshot)? If different, which are differences, pros and cons, and which one is suggested. In my particular case, I have Thunderbir in a loop redownloading my Inbox. Closing and opening did not fix.

Same thing; through the GUI is preferable unless you need to repair many folders.
