Initially the bookmarks on Android started appearing in apparently random order after every quit/restart. I signed out of Laptop and Android, then signed in again and set up syncing again on both, but now the bookmarks on my Laptop no longer appear on Android at all, even after syncing.

The problem was solved by uninstalling FireFox completely, then reinstalling, sign-in, and sync. Everything works as it should. Oddly enough pages seem to load faster, but that might be just my imagination!
