why does thunderbird hide spaces toolbar keep reappearing

I removed hide spaces from the view menu as I dont wish to see it then the next day when logged on pc, opened up TB and the hide spaces side bar reappeared

generally when default "just come back" it is because either Thunderbird did not shut down before the computer did, or something deletes the settings file. CCleaner for instance deletes the session.json file for your security and all the setting it contains. it also sees tings like the reading pane returning to default.
