I have probably forgotten my password! Thunderbird cannot find my existing email account (vivian.grisogono@st.ht.hr) when I search for it to set up on a different laptop - any help gratefully received.

If there is an older computer running Thunderbird with your account, and you told that older Thunderbird installation to remember your password, you can look it up there.

Otherwise, you'll have to talk to your email provider about password reset options.
