How do I remove these dashed lines that appear above my signature in Thunderbird. There is a solution that was posted in 2014, but it no longer applies as 'options' does not appear in the Tools menu.

Go to tools>preferences>general. Scroll to bottom of right pane to ConfigEditor. Open that and enter mail.identity.default.suppress_signature_separator this defaults to false. double-click to set to true. save and exit.
