Can you clarify what you mean with "Password encryption" ?

Is this about storing passwords in the Firefox profile folder ?

If you mean in Firefox's password manager, the passwords are encrypted in the logins.json file using the key in the key4.db file. To add a factor that attackers won't have access to, see: Use a Primary Password to protect stored logins and passwords.
