New Installation - Folders and Emails Not Synchronising

I have recently installed Thunderbird and it has syncronised my folders and the emails in them.

However there are some folders where the emails and sub folders have not syncronised. Some of these folders show in italics.

Why are these emails / folders not syncronising? And how do I fix this problem?

right click the folder, select properties and select the folder for offline use.

I had tried that previously but it didn't work. I've since tried it again and I still have the same issue.

I've checked that all folders are marked to syncronise.

Any other ideas?
