Multiple replies are showing up in one email preview and reply button is gone

So I don't know how to explain this other than showing an image. If I single click on a new email I get the preview window that looks as such in the image. It's showing multiples of the same reply. There's also no reply button when viewing the preview. If I double click it to open the email in a new window, it wants to open up 40 different separate emails for whatever reason. What the heck is wrong here?
