Since April 2017, I cannot login to imap gmail using Thunderbird

The gmail signin screen using Thunderbird changed in April 2017. This new screen requests me to "Sign in to continue to Mozilla Thunderbird Email". But when I click on the "Next" button, nothing happens. The other buttons ie. "Mozilla Thunderbird Email", "More options", "Help", "Privacy", "Terms" also do not work. Can someone help? Thanks. (I tried to upload an image (58Kb) showing the login screen but your "Add images" just showed a circle loading animation screen for more than 5 minutes).

I upgraded to Thunderbird Version 52.1.1 today and the above issue has been resolved. I can now login to Gmail with Thunderbird.

I upgraded to Thunderbird Version 52.1.1 today and the above issue has been resolved. I can now login to Gmail with Thunderbird.
