I can't find my spam or Junk folder and I know there is mail in there that I need. How do I find my spam/junk folder?

The only reasonable reason I can think of as to why you cannot see the Junk/Spam folder is because you are using an IMAP account and have not subscribed to the Junk/Spam folder.

In the list of folders on the left side of Thunderbird, right-click your e-mail account name and choose "Subscribe".

Now select (put a checkmark in each box), for the Junk/Spam folder(s). In fact, select every folder. Then click the "Subscribe" button on the right. Then click the OK button.

Quit Thunderbird, and restart it.
