I am trying to edit the content of a page on my website via Firefox as I always done. At login authentication my user name is accepted but not the passord I have used in the past. I am hoping that changing the password will solve the problem (I am a website novice)

This does not sound like an issue with Firefox, but more of a query you should speak to the FTP service you are using about.

I do notice that you are using an older version of Firefox. I strongly recommend that up update so that you have the latest security and stability fixes as well are new features. You can read more about how to update here.
