We are using Thunderbird 45.1.1 and have inadvertently deleted one of our main address books, and subsequently shut down the computer. Is there any way to retrieve it? We do have a backup profile but it is 2 months old and we will have lost 2 months of changes.

I think restoring the address book from the 2 month old backup is your best bet. Make sure to create regular backups in the future.
