WIN 7 The upper right hand corner doesn't display the minimize, enlarge and exit icons. How can this be fixed?
Windows 7 Home Premium This message pops up each time I start Mozilla: "Do you want the following program to make changes to this computer"? How do I disable the message? Also, the minimize, enlarge and exit button area is blacked out. It still functions when you click on it but you can't see the icons. How do I fix this?

A possible cause of this error is that Thunderbird is set to run as Administrator. Check that Thunderbird isn't set to run as Administrator. Right-click the Thunderbird desktop shortcut and choose "Properties".
Make sure that all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' should not be selected
Also check the Properties of the thunderbird.exe program in the Thunderbird program folder.
If running 32 bit C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\
If running 64bit C:\Program Files (x86) \Mozilla Thunderbird\

It is possible the the title bar is not enabled and the theme you are using needs the title bar enabled. - I'm guessing the title bar is not showing :)
Do this to see if enabling the title bar resolves the issue.
in Thunderbird 'Tools' > 'Options' > 'Advanced' > 'General' tab or 'Menu Icon' > 'Options' > 'Options' > 'Advanced' > 'General' tab
click on 'Config Editor' button it will tell you to be careful :)
In the top search type : title look for this line: mail.tabs.drawInTitlebar Value = true double click on that line to toggle the 'True' to a ' False '
Did enabling the title bar help?
