When my C drive burnt out and I reloaded Thunderbird I lost all my email contacts. Is there a way to save my contacts to another drive? I think there should be an automatic save button when you save an email in Thunderbird. When I reload Windows the same thing happens.

What you really need is your profile.

If you want to rescue address book files piecemeal then you need those files with a *. mab filename.
